Decorate your home during this Thanksgiving holiday with this festive Thanksgiving turkey plaque. It can be hung on a wall, from the ceiling or propped up on a table as a decoration or center piece.
To give your turkey a personal touch, you can alternate the different colors of woods or use completely different types.
This Thanksgiving Day Turkey was created using a 45-watt Helix.
Wood cutting:
Speed: 35%
Power: 100%
Frequency: 500
Acrylic Marking (send to the job in vector mode, but do not cut all the way through):
Speed: 15%
Power: 100%
Start by placing the 24" x 12" black acrylic sheet into the laser system, and open the file tgturkey_back.cdr. First, select the black lines of the Thanksgiving Turkey and print to the laser in vector mode using settings that will only mark on the acrylic but not cut it. Then select the red lines of the file and print them to the laser in vector mode.
Next, prepare the wood before cutting by first placing double-stick tape on the back of each piece.
The four different files that you downloaded for the Thanksgiving Turkey include the type of wood they are to be cut from in the name of the file. Insert each wooden plank into the laser and cut out the different layers to be adhered to the acrylic back. After you've cut all the pieces, remove the adhesive backing and use the turkey color map pictured to the right to adhere them to the acrylic base.
We'll send you a brochure, as well as engraved and cut samples created with the laser.
